First, you need to know the following: Telstar-5 is one of our satellite receivers. KF and KC refer to KFFX and KCYU, two of the three TV stations we run out of one building.

The following was part of an actual conversation between an engineer and a master control operator.

E: Oh, I forgot to ask you, are you taking a feed on Telstar-5?
MCO: Huh?
E: On T5, are you taking a feed off of it right now?
MCO: Yeah, it's live to KF and KC right now.
E: It's live?
MCO: Yeah, we take this show live from the satellite.
E: (over walkie-talkie to another engineer) Uh, we'd better wait a few minutes on this.
