Changing the masthead 2 weeks late was a lousy way to start, though.

TV Observations

Posted by Thomas J. Brown at 1620 hrs

I just saw this commercial for Lea & Perrins where the guy in the spot said, "What really won her over, were my burgers. Made with Lea & Perrins. If it worked for me, it could work for you." What the fuck? I mean, I know sex sells, but it's worcestershire sauce! Honestly...

How do you pronounce worcestershire sauce, anyway?

I was watching Oprah and they were talking about emotional abuse (think: domestic abuse for the soul). She said the phrase, "Twenty-one million women, an estimated one third of women in relationships, live with emotional abuse," or some variation thereof, a total of six times throughout the show. Just an observation.

Yeah, but Oprah also used to repeat the myth about Superbowl Sunday and domestic violence, too.

Just an observation. :)
