Changing the masthead 2 weeks late was a lousy way to start, though.

Net Neutrality in REAL Trouble

Posted by Thomas J. Brown at 1940 hrs

The Federal Communications Commission is reviewing high-speed internet practices and the Department of Justice dealt net neutrality a potentially deadly blow. They said that ISPs should be able to charge higher fees for certain internet traffic.

Worst of all, their press release dresses it up as though they've made some sort of wonderful suggestion. To say that, "regulators should be careful not to impose regulations that could limit consumer choice," when referring to net neutrality, shows a clear misunderstanding of the issue — if not outright ignorance.

My only hope is that the FCC eventually makes the right choice and protects net neutrality.
