Comments, Anyone?

In my never ending battle against spam comments, I recently installed an Akismet-based plugin. It has done a wonderful job so far — only 1 spam comment out of hundreds has made it through. Interestingly, no legitimate comments have been posted since I installed the filter, which has me wondering if those are also getting caught by the filter.
If you're reading this, please leave me a comment to help me find out whether or not it's working. If your comment doesn't appear, if you get a message saying that your comment needs to be moderated, or if you have previously left a comment and it isn't on the site, e-mail me to let me know (if you don't know my e-mail address, you can use the contact form by clicking on "Contact Me" in the navigation menu).
