Friday Funday brings you some fun and interesting links from my travels around the internet. Funday links will open in a new window.

XM Wild Ride [del.icio.us]

A neat little Flash ad where you control a car with a hippo and a giraffe, listen to some cool music, and play some goofy games.

St. Louis Fire Department Engine Crash [del.icio.us]

Since I saw this on the news, chances are you’ve already seen it too, but in case you haven’t, it’s freakin’ awesome. What I want to know is, did the other fire engine stop to help, or keep going to the house fire? Full story here.

The Fly and The Eye [del.icio.us]

This surreal short is a “viral ad” for Black Thinking, a new clothing line.

Scarlet Takes A Tumble [del.icio.us]

To say that Scarlet, the woman in this video, takes a tumble is putting it mildly. Scarlet falls on her ass. The first couple of minutes are boring (and frankly, kind of annoying). Skip ahead to about 2:40 to see the action.

Hollywood Director Attack Ads [del.icio.us]

The premise of this video is, “John McCain turns to famous Hollywood directors for help with his attack ads.” The last one is done in the style of Wes Anderson, and whoever directed this absolutely nailed it. I nearly exploded at work from holding back the laughter. Via Mike.

  1. There’s something I don’t understand about the fire truck collision, and it could be that I’m just missing something. The article states that both trucks were heading to the same house fire just a block away. Yet at that intersection, they were heading in opposite directions, and it didn’t appear that either of them were slowing down to make a turn.

  2. Also, why are 2 different companies responding to a 1 alarm fire?

  3. True. Come to think about it, nothing about that collision makes sense.
