Going Around

Morah was sick with a mild cold all weekend, so I spent the past few days taking care of her. Now, as is often the case, I’m the one who’s sick. I woke up yesterday with one nostril plugged up (I hate that!) and knew that it was starting. I woke up at about 2 A.M. last night with a stuffy nose and a sore throat, and I couldn’t get back to sleep for about an hour and half.

I don’t feel too terrible, mostly just annoyed (at being sick, not in general). DayQuil is some fantastic stuff, but I’m still going to try to telecommute for the next couple of days if I can get my supervisor to O.K. it. I have stuff I can do from home (I’m currently learning Flash) and it’s probably best for me to stay away from my coworkers for a little while.

I’m just glad that we already have Superfood and ginger ale around from over the weekend.

  1. My mother came over this weekend and was sick. In response, I opened my medicine cabinet to behold wonders beyond wonders. I have everything anyone could possibly need for a cold or something close to it.

I can tell if I’m getting sick because it starts with a soar throat. From there…it spreads…

  2. Hope you feel better soon. I know that whenever Emily gets sick, I usually come down with the same thing. Whenever she’s sick, I buy some orange juice and try to stave off the sickness, but it usually doesn’t work.

  3. Sudafed, Sudafed, Sudafed – the real stuff you have to show your ID for, not the phenylephrine junk. It’s been my miracle drug this past week. Hope your cold goes away fast. P.S. The Airborne stuff doesn’t hurt either. It’s got a ginormous amount of Vitamin C. Feel better soon!

    Pobrecito!

Sorry you’re not feeling well. You’re my second blogpeep today to mention being under the weather. I’m the same way as you – I get so damn annoyed when I’m sick!
