Mara’s Meme of 10

I know that Mara didn’t actually start this meme, but she tagged me, and since I have a hard time saying no to pretty girls, I’ll participate.

Here are the rules: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose 5 people to be tagged, list their names, and why you chose them.

  1. I think skin is the most fascinating part of the human body. I could look at peoples’ skin for hours.
  2. I enjoy urban exploration.
  3. I don’t like my toenails.
  4. Disembodied hair creeps me out.
  5. All 5 people I tagged are female.
  6. I have a hard time urinating in public, especially if I think people can hear me.
  7. I talk to myself a lot, but most often when I’m alone.
  8. Usually it’s because I’m rehearsing what I would say in a situation that I’ve imagined.
  9. I’ll never believe I’m as smart as other people tell me I am.
  10. I’m such a geek that, instead of writing each of the numbers for this list, I used an ol tag.

  1. Oh wow. Yours are funny! I talk out loud as I type comments so that way I hear how they sound.

    Did you tag people before you actually wrote the 10? It appears as though you knew ahead of time that you were going to tag 5 females.

    2. It’s all I can do to resist going into EWU’s steam tunnels. (I even know an unlocked entrance. TEMPTATION!)

    4. When I’m walking to the computer building, and I see the squirrels, I can barely resist the urge to chase them. What’s up with that?

    6. I have a hard time urinating in public if nobody is around to hear me.
    7. I talk to myself a lot when I’m alone. I mean, a WHOLE LOT. Like, all the time. Frankly, I find myself just fascinating.
    8. Sometimes it’s because I’m rehearsing what I would say in a situation that I’ve imagined. Sometimes it’s because I’m rehearsing what I should have said in a situation that just happened. Sometimes I’m just telling myself stories (for real).
    9. Other people never believe I’m as smart as I tell them I am. But I am. But you won’t believe that.
    10. Sometimes when I appear to be engaged in a conversation with someone, I’m actually off in my own little world, and my mouth is on autopilot. My internal thoughts are a constant distraction from the real world.

    #1 is a lie. And the cake? Also a lie. But 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 10 are true. As for 9, I never tell people how smart I am. Because they just wouldn’t believe it. ^_^
